Hardware

My homelab consists of various hardware where I host all the software and apps. This hardware is mounted on a 19" 32U server rack.

Servers

• Proxmox Nodes:

  • 4 servers running Proxmox (PVE1-PVE4)
  • Each server is equipped with:
    • 64GB of RAM
    • 10Gb networking cards
    • NVMe storage for VMs

• Storage:

  • One Proxmox node hosts a VM running TrueNAS, utilizing PCIe passthrough to connect an LSI 9211-8i controller. This setup manages 6x 4TB WD Red HDDs.
  • An additional server is equipped with an LSI 9305-24 HBA and 2x 18TB Seagate Exos disks for extra storage capacity.

Network Equipment

• Switches:

  • An 8-port 10Gb Unifi aggregation switch connects the servers using DAC and OM3 fiber.
  • A MikroTik CSS326-24G-2S+ switch with 24x 1Gb ports and 2x 10Gb SFP+ ports serves as the connectivity hub for Gigabit devices. The 10Gb SFP+ ports are used as uplinks to the 10Gb Unifi switch.

• Wi-Fi:

  • To ensure good signal and speed throughout my home, I have deployed two access points (AP):
    • Unifi AC Lite
    • Unifi AC In-Wall
